Update: Did Zack Snyder Spill Robin Casting?

We told you yesterday that rumors had begun to run rampant about just who would play the slain Robin in Batman v Superman. We personally believe that the dead Boy Wonder would be Dick Grayson, not Jason Todd as most people have proposed. We believe that because a while back we posted spy photos from the BvS set that showed Grayson’s tombstone…then Warner Brothers made us take the post down.

Seems like pretty solid evidence.

The re question now is just who will play Robin in the film’s Joker flashback. The rumors point toward Zack Snyder’s college athlete son Eli, since the director used him as young Leonidas in 300 and young Rorschach in Watchmen.

Today Snyder posted a picture of he and his son on Instagram, which was then reposted by Batman v Superman photographer Clay Enos to the public. The caption seems telling.

"Boy Wonder?"

Why not? He won’t be onscreen much, so few will likely complain about casting either way. This all seems pretty frakking obvious, similar to the Jeffery Dean Morgan as Thomas Wayne a while back. All very poorly kept secrets.

"Fearing the actions of a god-like Super Hero left unchecked, Gotham City’s own formidable, forceful vigilante takes on Metropolis’s most revered, modern-day savior, while the world wrestles with what sort of hero it really needs. And with Batman and Superman at war with one another, a new threat quickly arises, putting mankind in greater danger than it’s ever known before."
