X-Men: Apocalypse – Mysterious Uniforms In Cases
By Steve Lam
Director Bryan Singer posted a new image of three uniforms behind frosted glass from the set of X-Men: Apocalypse. Giving only a mysterious message of “Reminds of #area51”, the director leaves it up to the fans to see what the scene is about.
Could these be prototype uniforms? Maybe the “colorful” comic book-faithful versions Singer was alluding to in his past interview? Or are these a tribute to fallen mutants? And why are they in front of a green screen? Your guess is as good as any. Post your thoughts in the comments.
Since the events of X-Men: Days of Future Past (2014) altered the timeline, it stands to reason that the X-Men will be slightly different in X-Men: Apocalypse, and that includes their overall look. We’ll just have to wait and see what else the director will be sharing in future images until the release of the movie.
X-Men: Apocalypse has a planned release date of May 27, 2016 and will be directed by Bryan Singer and written by Simon Kinberg, Dan Harris, and Michael Dougherty, and will star James McAvoy as Charles Xavier / Professor X, Michael Fassbender and Ian McKellan as Erik Lehnsherr / Magneto, Jennifer Lawrence as Raven Darkhölme, Nicholas Hout as Hank McCoy / Beast, Evan Peters as Peter Maximoff / Quicksilver, Oscar Isaac as En Sabah Nur / Apocalypse, Alexandra Shipp as Ororo Munroe / Storm, Sophie Turner as Jean Grey, Tye Sheridan as Scott Summers / Cyclops, Rose Burne as Moira MacTaggert, Kodi Smit-McPhee as Kurt Wagner / Nightcrawler, Lana Condor as Jubilation Lee, Ben Hardy as Warren Worthington III / Angel, Olivia Munn as Betsy Braddock / Psylocke, and Lucas Till as Alex Summers / Havok.
