Some claims of popularity are exaggerated or unfounded. Not so for Weekly Shonen Jump, which is legitimately the most popular manga in the world. Running in some form since 1968, it’s now available in a whole new way via Comixology and the Amazon Kindle Store.

As it has for several years, Weekly Shonen Jump comes out on the same day as the famed print version goes on sale in Japan, allowing fans in the U.S., U.K., Canada, Ireland, South Africa, Australia and New Zealand to enjoy some of the best known manga series in English. The issue that went live this week includes chapters of One Piece, Bleach, Blue Exorcist, My Hero Academia, and Food Wars! Shokugeki No Soma.

“It’s amazing we live in an age where it’s possible for fans to read manga in English the same day as appears in Japan,” Chip Mosher, comiXology VP of Communications & Marketing, said in a press release. “This is why we’re thrilled to share Weekly Shonen Jump on comiXology and Kindle as we’re now able to give fans access to the latest and greatest manga around.”

It’s also a fantastic value at just $0.99. And along with the current issue, Comixology is offering the previous 12 issues as well, so there’s a built-in set of back issues to dive into right away.

Weekly Shonen Jump is a fan favorite magazine where emerging and long-running hit manga series are shown to the world first,” Andy Nakatani, Editor-In-Chief of Weekly Shonen Jump, said in a press release. “We’re excited to expand the readership of this magazine to the comiXology and Kindle audience.”
