Agents Of SHIELD: New Sneak Peek Gives Fans First Taste Of Season 3

Thanks to Yahoo TV, the Season 3 sneak peek video you see below is here for us to dissect. And while it doesn’t give us much to work with in terms of plot, there are still a few talking points from these 30 seconds.

The obvious initial takeaway is that the series isn’t done with the Inhumans by a longshot. The newly powered individuals are front and center throughout the clip, whether it’s a frightened and confused guy that Daisy (so long, Skye!) tries to calm, or the menacing yet potentially familiar figure we see in shadow near the end.

A voiceover points out the obvious irony of the team SHIELD is assembling, which is trying to protect the very people that could pose the biggest danger. Mack says he’s not scared but is told he should be. We only get very brief snippets showing us Coulson, May and Morse. No Jemma, though that’s not surprising given that we last saw her getting trapped within  Kree artifact.

If an air of mystery combined with danger is what the sneak peek was going for, then mission accomplished. Agents of SHIELD returns to ABC for Season 3 on Tuesday, September 29 at 9 pm.
