Jessica Jones: First Live-Action Teaser Revealed – UPDATE: US Teaser Released

UPDATE 9/26/2015 12:14PM: The US version of the teaser for Netflix’s Jessica Jones has been released.

The saying of “less is more” rings loud and clear here.  Via ComicBook.com, who first caught wind of it on the Spanish Facebook page for Netflix’s Jessica Jones, we have the first live-action teaser for the highly anticipated series.

To tell you the truth, I kind of expected her to break the alarm clock in some way — either by hitting the snooze button too hard or taking the nightstand out all-together.  And you know what?  I’m not disappointed at all that it was predictable.  It couldn’t have gone any other way.  I’m really excited to see what the full trailer will look like when we start to get close to the premiere date in November of this year.

Jessica Jones – Official Synopsis: Ever since her short-lived stint as a Super Hero ended in tragedy, Jessica Jones has been rebuilding her personal life and career as a hot-tempered, sardonic, badass private detective in Hell’s Kitchen, New York City. Plagued by self-loathing, and a wicked case of PTSD, Jessica battles demons from within and without, using her extraordinary abilities as an unlikely champion for those in need… especially if they’re willing to cut her a check.

Netflix’s Jessica Jones is set to premiere all episodes on Friday, November 20, 2015.  The series was developed by Melissa Rosenberg, and will star Krysten Ritter as Jessica Jones, David Tennant as Kilgrave, Mike Colter as Luke Cage, Rachael Taylor as Trish “Patsy” Walker, Carrie Anne Moss as Harper, Eka Darville as Malcolm, Erin Moriarty as Hope, and Wil Traval as an NYPD officer.

Jessica Jones is one of four Marvel/Netflix shows centered around street-level events taking place in New York.  The other three are Daredevil, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist.  Like the cinematic universe, all four characters from each show will later converge together in a miniseries event called The Defenders — another superhero team akin to The Avengers.
