Gotham: Baccarin Drops Drama Bomb

Last week we brought you the rumor that Gotham‘s Morena Baccarin was pregnant with what was rumored to be co-star Ben McKenzie’s child.
To add to soap opera-type drama, all this came out because of Baccarin’s ongoing divorce proceedings with her estranged husband Austin Chick. The two are tangled in a custody battle over their 2 year old son Julius. The ruling in that case was in Baccarin’s favor and in her legal statement she let the news drop.
"Today, I am in a new committed relationship. I am planning to re-marry. Also, I am 3 ½ months pregnant."
Yikes. That’s one way to find out. We obviously hope things work out well for all parties involved, but that seems like a messy situation.
McKenzie’s sister and former O.C. co-star Camille Schenkkan was excited for the development, as it turns out. McKenzie retweeted her congratulations.
"Couldn’t be happier for @ben_mckenzie and @missmorenab. Welcome to the family, Morena! Also… I’M GONNA BE AN AUNT."
It’s sad to see a family dissolve and a child to be caught in the middle of such a sad conflict, but hopefully it’s for the best of all involved.
