Gotham: By Fire Preview
It’s getting to be a very hot time in Gotham with not only the Pike Brothers, but the newly christened Firefly running amuck. The next episode of Gotham, “By Fire”, sees Bridget Pike becoming entranced by the thing she used to hate (fire) and becoming partners in crime with Selina Kyle, but this definitely seems like a situation where someone will get burned (possibly figuratively and literally)
Here’s a synopsis of “By Fire”:
"After Bridgit Pike (guest star Michelle Veintimilla) rejoins her brothers, a new spark of courage ignites within her, as she chooses to take control of her future. Meanwhile, Kringle and Nygma’s relationship will take a new step and Penguin and Galavan continue to battle for control of Gotham City’s underworld."

I do have to say while it’s not completely unexpected since despite it’s campiness, Gotham is a little more grounded in reality than most other comic book shows, it’s kind of disappointing that Firefly doesn’t well, fly. But then again this is just the first person to take up the mantle of Firefly, as so often we’ve seen, Gotham usually deals in versions of characters that are either earlier versions of ones we are familiar with or ones who are just growing into their comic book destines.
