Let the puns begin!

Ant-Man performs the not-so-small feat of hitting half a billion dollars.

Ant-Man proves to be a giant worldwide.

Ant-Man grows even bigger with China debut.

Via Variety, we have news that Ant-Man has hit a worldwide total of $500 million.   Box Office Mojo is showing that the sci-fi heist actioner has earned a domestic box-office total of $179,017,481 and a foreign box-office total of $319,500,000.  Debuting in China on October 16, 2015, the film has earned $86.4 million, and now holds the record as the second biggest three-day opening weekend for a Disney or Marvel film in that region.  Ant-Man also has the honor of being the seventh consecutive film to reach $500 million, and the ninth film, overall, to reach that figure in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

People may think that any comic book-related movie being released in the 21st century is going to do well.  However, Fantastic Four, another Marvel property which was produced by rival studio 20th Century Fox, was critically panned and derided by audiences.  Some have labeled it to be one of the worst comic book movies ever.  Some say it could be one of the worst movies of the year overall.  Like Ant-Man, Fantastic Four had its share of production problems, but Ant-Man with its winning team of Feige and company, proved that Marvel Studios still has the golden touch.
