Meet the Creator of the Suicide Squad Jokermobile
Admittedly, The Joker’s car in the upcoming Suicide Squad film has not been confirmed as being called The Jokermobile as it is in the comics, but the name just sounds catchy! The car can be seen with Batman on top of it and Harley Quinn inside in the Comic-Con trailer (and in fan footage from the shoot), but yesterday we got an up-close look at the car and it’s creator from Fox 13 News in Tampa, FL.
The car’s creator is Matt McEntegart of Vaydor Exotics in Tampa Bay. McEntegart always wanted high-end sports cars like a Lamborghini or a Ferrari, but he couldn’t afford one. So, he did what any logical person would do and decided to build one himself. The product of his resourcefulness is the Vaydor, which he was then asked if could be featured in Suicide Squad. McEntegart jumped on the opportunity; The Joker is his favorite villain.

In the video below, Lloyd Sowers of Fox 13 News chats with McEntegart about the car. The Vaydor is what’s called a “kit car”, which means that you put it together on the chassis of another vehicle, in this case, an Infiniti G-35. It has a fiberglass body, and it costs $60,000 — a steep price, but much cheaper than a Lamborghini. Already, fans are inquiring about purchasing their own Jokermobiles.

I, for one, love the way the car looks. Purple was definitely a must, and the Vaydor seems perfect for Jared Leto’s version of The Joker. I certainly can’t imagine Leto’s Joker driving the Jokermobile typically portrayed in the comics nor the one in the 1960s Batman TV show. Let me know in the comments what you think of the new car.
