Three Superhero Movie Trailers Confirmed For Star Wars: The Force Awakens IMAX Screenings
By Nick Tylwalk
With all of the recent superhero movie trailers hitting the internet as of late, we didn’t have to wait to see them in theaters. Still, there’s seeing them on your phone or laptop, and then there’s seeing them on the biggest possible screen: an IMAX screen that is.
Fortunately, you’ll be able to see most of them in that format this coming week. Thanks to the @StarWarsJunk Twitter feed we have confirmation that three superhero movie trailers are attached to Star Wars: The Force Awakens IMAX screenings.
As you can see in the following tweet, trailers for Captain America: Civil War, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and Deadpool will all be in front of the IMAX version of The Force Awakens. Non-superhero movies making the cut include Independence Day: Resurgence, Jungle Book and Warcraft.
Conspicuous by its absence is X-Men: Apocalypse. That movie’s first trailer just dropped this week, so perhaps all of the spots on the IMAX dance card were already filled.

We’ll have people at the first wave of non-IMAX showings on the night of the 17th to report on whether or not the Apocalypse trailer pops up there. For all you lucky folks who have tickets to see The Force Awakens opening weekend in IMAX, enjoy the film and the triple dose of superhero goodness.
