Now that we’ve seen the current cast for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, it’s kind of hard picturing different people wear these legendary garbs. However, like all large-scale movies, the studio had many actors in mind when this film was still a concept. Some of these suggestions will make people go, “Huh?”, while others will make people go, “Yeah, I can totally see him in this role!”

- Actors Bradley Cooper, Matt Damon, Adam Driver, Jean Dujardin, Tom Hanks (due to the studio seeing him in Cloud Atlas (2012)), and Joaquin Phoenix were all considered for the role of Lex Luthor, Jr.
- Actors Josh Brolin, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, and Tyler Hoechlin were all considered for the role of Bruce Wayne / Batman. Jeffrey Dean Morgan was eventually cast as Thomas Wayne.
- Actor Timothy Dalton was considered for the role of Alfred Pennyworth.
- Actor Michael B. Jordan was considered for the role of Victor Stone / Cyborg. Jordan was the voice of Victor Stone / Cyborg in the animated film Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox (2013).
