Many fans were excited as soon as they heard that Benedict Cumberbatch had been cast in the lead role in the upcoming Doctor Strange movie. That said, if you’re one of those folks who thinks only seeing is believing, then the time has come to believe in this vision of Stephen Strange.

Entertainment Weekly released an exclusive photo gallery with all kinds of goodness from Doctor Strange, highlighted by the picture you see above. From the looks of it, there shouldn’t be any worries that the Marvel Cinematic Universe version of the Sorcerer Supreme will be anything less than visually dynamic. In a quote Cumberbatch gives to EW, he promises “crazy s–t” once the visual effects wizards get to do their thing for the film.

The remainder of the image gallery consists of a closeup profile shot of Cumberbatch in costume, followed by a series of concept art pics. We get to see the Chamber of Relics, undoubtedly from Strange’s Sanctum Sanctorum, as well as an illustration of an injured Stephen Strange in a hospital bed, being shown x-rays of his hands.

That’s interesting since it implies that the hero’s movie origin will be faithful to the one from the comics, where he’s a talented surgeon until injuries to his hands force him to find new meaning for his life. Marvel has stated repreatedly that the film won’t be a straight origin story, but it would be silly to think that it won’t at least revisit how Strange got his start via flashbacks.

Be sure to check out the entire gallery to take it all in. If that still doesn’t convince you that Doctor Strange might be magic when it arrives in theaters on November 4, 2016, we’ll just have to agree to disagree on how promising it looks.
