Snyder Reveals New Batman v Superman Clip on Conan

Take a look at the new Batman v Superman clip that aired on Conan last night!

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice director Zack Snyder was a guest on Conan last night, where he revealed a new clip from the upcoming film.  This is not the first time that Batman v Superman content has debuted on a late-night talk show, as Ben Affleck went on Jimmy Kimmel Live! last month to release the second full-length trailer.  Conan joked to the audience that Snyder was refusing to show the clip after all, which prompted boo-ing, but of course Conan and Snyder turned around and gave the audience (and viewers at home) 30 seconds of awesomeness!

This new clip actually indicates that the first TV spot from the NFL games this weekend edited out some of Superman’s lines.  After Batman attacks Superman with the Batmobile and it skids off of the Man of Steel, Superman walks over and says to Batman: “Next time they shine your light in the sky, don’t go to it.  The Bat is dead, buried.  Consider this mercy.”  So Batman’s now-famous line of “Tell me, do you bleed?  You will,” is actually a response to Superman’s threat.  Batman on Film uploaded the video of the clip to their YouTube channel, so check it out below:

I have absolutely loved the “Do you bleed?” line ever since we heard it for the first time in the teaser, but I know that some people thought that it was out of character for Batman to say.  Knowing that it comes in response to an equally-hostile line from Superman may change that feeling for those people.  The shot of Batman and Superman standing face-to-face on the hood of the Batmobile is something I’d love to have framed on a poster, and I am glad that we were treated to even more of this confrontation (which we’ve been getting bits and pieces of throughout all the trailers and TV spots) in the new clip.  Let me know in the comments what you thought of the clip in the comments, and be sure to keep it locked to Caped Crusades for continuing coverage of Batman v Superman and for all your Batman news!
