See Wonder Woman Footage On Tonight’s CW Justice League Special
By Nick Tylwalk
Considering its title, it’s reasonable to assume that you’ll see some new Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice footage if you tune in to The CW tonight at 9:30 pm Eastern for “DC Films Presents: Dawn of the Justice League.” What you might not expect is Wonder Woman footage as well, but that’s exactly what you’re going to get.
That word comes from someone who should know: Kevin Smith, host of the special and a guy who knows a thing or two about movies and superheroes. Smith gave listeners to the Fat Man on Batman podcast he hosts with Marc Bernardin the lowdown during their most recent installment, which you can see below.
"They show footage, new footage of Batman v Superman, they show footage from the Wonder Woman movie they’re shooting right now, which includes shots of Wonder Woman in action doing some shit you’ve never seen before."
Now that sounds promising. Plus there might be more footage than you think of Wonder Woman, because despite its relatively low key status compared to other upcoming superhero movies that will get here sooner, it’s actually been filming since November. Maybe not enough for a trailer at this point, but definitely sufficient to give fans an action-packed tease or two on the special.
Also featuring the debut of the Suicide Squad trailer, “DC Films Presents: Dawn of the Justice League” will cap off a full night of DC heroes on The CW, beginning with a new episode of The Flash at 8 pm and followed by another special, “Legends of Tomorrow: Their Time is Now,” at 9 pm.
