Disney Infinity Marvel Battlegrounds Play Set Available For Pre-Order

It’s time to start preparing to do battle with your favorite Marvel characters in Disney Infinity in a whole new way. Pre-orders have begun for the Disney Infinity Marvel Battlegrounds Play Set, which arrives in stores on March 15.

The pre-order opening was revealed today in a new blog post by Disney Infinity VP of Production John Vignocchi, who calls Marvel Battlegrounds “one of the most fun play sets we’ve ever made, and unlike anything we’ve ever offered.” Following in the footsteps of previous Play Sets that have expanded the types of gameplay experiences available within Disney Infinity, Marvel Battlegrounds features four-player, arcade-style brawler action spread across 12 levels and eight arenas.

Battle locations familiar to Marvel fans include Wakanda and Knowhere, and every Marvel Super Heroes figure releases thus far will be playable, giving Marvel Battlegrounds the largest playable roster of any Play Set to date. A brand new Captain America figure is included — sporting his look from Captain America: Civil War — and anyone who pre-orders now through March 14 will receive a free Marvel Super Heroes figure from the Disney Infinity 2.0 selection at participating retailers while supplies last.
