Suicide Squad Movie Statues Announced

Suicide Squad is getting their own set of cool statues from DC Collectibles

DC Collectibles has announced some new statues based on the cast of the upcoming Suicide Squad movie, and some suspect characters are missing.

The Suicide Squad statues will run $150 each are are all about 12 inches tall. As you can see in the featured photo the statues being offered are Deadshot, Harley Quinn, Captain Boomerang, Katana and Killer Croc. There will also be a Joker statue, which you can check out below:

Deadshot, Harley Quinn, Killer Croc & Joker will be available in July with Captain Boomerang and Katana coming out in August. The statues look fairly cool, so they will probably be a worthwhile investment.

Now you may have noticed that a couple of characters are notably absent from this collection. I am not horribly surprised there is no Amanda Waller statue (though that would be cool), but also missing are El Diablo, Slipknot, Rick Flagg & Enchantress. The movie’s name is Suicide Squad, about a bunch of bad guys being forced to go on a mission where they will likely die. Especially in the context of everybody claiming that DC is a more grounded universe than Marvel, where supposedly there are consequences, PG-13 or not, at least a couple of characters really need to die. So odds are at least a couple of the characters who aren’t getting statues aren’t going to make it to the end credits. I wouldn’t be surprised if Rick Flagg survives just because he’s one of the few “good guys” in the film, but I’d bet good money Slipknot, El Diablo and Ecnhantress all kick the bucket. We’ll obviously find out for sure when Suicide Squad opens August 5th.
