Is Darkseid In Batman v Superman?
An image from the upcoming issue of Empire Magazine may have revealed the existence of DC’s greatest villain being in Batman v Superman
Batman v Superman already features two of DC’s biggest villains, Lex Luthor and Doomsday. But is there yet another villain making his presence known? A leaked image from an upcoming issue of Empire Magazine may provide a hint.
That featured image shows Batman looking down at a very familiar symbol to DC fans. The Omega Symbol. It represents the big bad of the DC universe. The biggest, baddest make other quake in their boots villain. Darkseid. Darkseid is arguably the most powerful being in the DC universe. He has lazers that shoot from his eyes and kill you dead if you are anybody but Superman, and they can severely damage him. If you wanted to set up a need for a Justice League in Batman v Superman, he’s a good reason for these heroes to quickly band together to take down a foe as powerful as seven of Earth’s greatest heroes combined.

Ok, so here’s my somewhat of a downer theory. Darkseid is in fact NOT in Batman v Superman. We already know Batman has a nightmare sequence in a desert where evil Superman rules with an iron fist. This dream has things that look like Parademons, Darkseid’s minions. But it’s been clarified they are not, in fact Parademons. My guess is that this image is from that dream, and the symbol is more of an Easter Egg for the more knowledgeable DC fans who see this movie, but doesn’t actually mean anything. Or it will be explained that it’s the Kryptonian symbol for power or something. I just think the odds of Darkseid even making a cameo appearance in Batman v Superman are incredibly low. We’ll obviously find out for sure when Batman v Superman opens March 25th.
