Suicide Squad Promo Video Released
Check out the new 15-second Suicide Squad promotional video!
The official Suicide Squad Instagram account published a promotional video for the upcoming film yesterday. It is captioned “Worst of the worst. #SuicideSquad”. The promo basically just consists of certain shots from the trailer that was released two weeks ago, but they are re-cut to fit into 15 seconds. Take a look at it here.
There is one new thing that the promo features that the trailer did not: an extended clip of Joker laughing while lying on the ground surrounded by knives. I know this was many fans’ favorite Joker moment from the trailer (I liked it, but I’m partial to the “I can’t wait to show you my toys” line), so it’s nice that we’re getting a slightly more complete version of it. A second thing to note about the promo is the lack of “Bohemian Rhapsody” playing in the background. There’s no disputing the use of the song in the trailer was a huge hit, but some fans thought that the song basically gave the trailer unwarranted bonus points. Even without “Bohemian Rhapsody”, I love the new promo, so while I prefer the inclusion of the song, its absence in no way takes away from the actual content.

One thing the promo did drop the ball on was not including any Harley Quinn lines. She stole the show in the trailer, so it would’ve been in the film’s best interest for her to speak in the promo as well. We’re most likely still months away from seeing Suicide Squad TV spots, but this promo feels very similar to something that might be used when it is time for those. Let me know in the comments what you think of the new video, and be sure to keep it locked to Caped Crusades for continuing coverage of Suicide Squad and for all your Batman news!
