Young Justice Season 2 Now on Netflix

Head to Netflix, where you can now binge-watch the second season of Young Justice!

The second season of the animated series Young Justice that aired on Cartoon Network in the early part of this decade is now available to stream on Netflix.  The first season has been up for almost two years now, but fans had been begging for the rest of the series to be released as well.  The second season, dubbed “Young Justice: Invasion”, takes place five years after the first and features an expanded cast.

In my opinion, Young Justice is the greatest non-Timmverse DC animated series (and it does actually beat out a good number of the Timmverse shows).  It was one of the rare cartoons to deliver gripping season-long arcs, and it seamlessly wove-in characters from all corners of the DC Universe to its episodes.  So, the news that its on Netflix in its entirety is great.  The issue, however, is that its entirety is only two seasons.  At the end of season two, Darkseid was teased as the big bad for a third season, but then the show was cancelled.  So to me, just-as-exciting news is what the show’s co-creator Greg Weisman tweeted about the debut of “Invasion” on Netflix two days ago: “RT! #YoungJustice S1 AND S2 now on Netflix! Want YJ S3? One of best things u can do is watch ALL eps over & over on Netflix. Or buy BluRays!”

Weisman has been keeping the door open for a third season ever since the show’s cancellation, but now he’s acknowledging that a huge opportunity has presented itself for fans to show the people who actually would make the decision to renew the series (it’s not up to Weisman) that there is demand for it.  You know what that means, Bat-fans.  If you have a Netflix account, help show that support for the series is alive and well.  Be sure to keep it locked to Caped Crusades for any more developments on the future of Young Justice and for all your Batman news!
