Book Three Of Dark Knight III is out later this month

Dark Knight III: The Master Race is getting it’s latest volume, book three later this month, and we’ve got a look at some of the variant covers for you!

Here’s the synopsis for Dark Knight III: The Master Race, book three:

"The hardest thing for Batman is to admit his greatest strength: He’s just one man, and sometimes he needs help. With so much at stake, will he turn to help of the Super variety?"

Granted, I’m a little bit behind on what’s going on in Dark Knight III, but last I checked, Batman and Superman were far from friends at the end of the first Dark Knight novel. However (spoilers for the those who know nothing about Dark Knight III follow, you have been warned), in the very first issue of Dark Knight III it was of course revealed that the Batman running around in Gotham is not Bruce Wayne but in fact former protege Carrie Kelley. Maybe she would be able to convince Superman to help her.

Next: Scott Snyder: Gotham Is A Villain

So to reiterate, Book Three of Dark Knight III is due out later this month on February 24th. Frank Miller has claimed he’s already working on Dark Knight IV but plans to do that one solo. I don’t have a lot of hope for that one given most of his solo work of well, the last couple of decades. But check out the variant covers of Dark Knight III book 3 below:

Most them look pretty cool IMHO. Except Wonder Woman, I think that one looks awful. Also of note is Batman holding a gun in one of the covers. Potentially controversial, but there could be any number of reasons to justify that (or it could just be a variant cover that doesn’t really reflect events in the book itself. The first two books of Dark Knight III are available now if you want to catch up.
