Gotham: Wrath Of The Villains Promo

With less than a few weeks to go before Fox’s
Gotham
returns from its winter hiatus, the network is quickly revving up its marketing engine. That means promos galore. In the latest bid to get fans warmed up (maybe the wrong choice of words since Mr. Freeze is coming), Fox has released its latest promo for the next chapter of the series — now titled
Gotham: Wrath of the Villains
.
As you can see, we have some new faces mixed in with the returning cast. One of the biggest announcements pertaining to casting has been Jada Pinkett Smith reprising her role as Fish Mooney. The circumstances of her return are still a mystery, but it’s safe to say that Hugo Strange, played by B.D. Wong, will definitely have a hand in it. Keen eyed observers watching earlier episodes in Season 2 have seen what looks like a body — with Fish’s signature hairstyle — floating in one of Strange’s incubation chambers.
As we’ve mentioned before, Mr. Freeze will be making his debut in the show — and he’ll already be well into his super-villainy. Fans have been extremely mixed on this premise and are wondering how this will even tie in with Batman’s established mythology. Well, this is Gotham, so don’t expect anything to be even close to canon. We’ve pretty much seen the show throw out the comic book established origins of virtually every character in the show.
