Batman v Superman: Roles Of Jena Malone & Scoot McNairy Confirmed?

We may finally have confirmation of the roles of Jena Malone and Scoot McNairy in Batman v Superman

Despite all we’ve seen and heard about Batman v Superman to date. Their are still a few mysteries. Two big ones being the roles of Jena Malone and Scoot McNairy. The rumors of Jena Malone have pretty much just been Carrie Kelley or Batgirl, but we still don’t know which. McNairy has been the much bigger question mark, with rumors ranging from Metallo to Jimmy Olsen to some dude who gets radicalized against Superman and is turned into a human bomb.

Now thanks to a scan of a French magazine making the rounds, we may finally have the concrete answer. Obviously this contains some spoilers, so you have been warned. If you don’t want to know more about Batman v Superman, do not look at the image below:

Assuming this is legitimate the scan confirms a lot we have heard about Batman v Superman. Zod might have a significant role (as opposed to Michael Shannon constantly changing his story about how involved he is in the film). Jeffrey Dean Morgan is Thomas Wayne, which we pretty much knew but nobody was officially saying. Flash & Cyborg definitely have cameos in the film. And Scoot McNairy is Jimmy Olsen while Jena Malone is Barbara Gordon/Batgirl.

Adding the “Batgirl” descriptor is very important, because otherwise she might just be Barbara Gordon and nothing more. Odds are she won’t really suit up in Batman v Superman, but hopefully somewhere down the line. McNairy being Jimmy Olsen is a safe choice (I was really hoping for Ted Kord) but better than a stupid human bomb. There’s a chance the magazine is mistaken or it’s not legitimate but odds are you’ll be seeing Jimmy Olsen & Barbara Gordon on the big screen when Batman v Superman opens March 25th.
