See Ben Affleck and Henry Cavill promoting Batman v Superman on the NBA All-Star pre-game show tonight!

Actors Ben Affleck and Henry Cavill, the DC Extended Universe’s Batman and Superman, will be appearing tonight on the NBA All-Star pre-game show to promote Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.  The show begins at 7:00 p.m. Eastern time on TNT.  The TV marketing for the film is really ramping up, as there will be a Batman v Superman special on Good Morning America tomorrow morning as well.  The final trailer for the film already dropped on Thursday, so Affleck won’t be dropping another one like he did on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, but maybe we’ll be treated to a clip like the one director Zack Snyder brought with him for his appearance on Conan.

Affleck and Cavill’s appearances were announced yesterday via the official Batman v Superman Twitter account, which didn’t provide many details on what specifically they’d be doing.  However, the NBA on TNT pre-game team consists of some of the funniest and most energetic analysts in sports (Shaquille O’Neal, Charles Barkley, Kenny Smith, and Ernie Johnson), so they’re sure to have some fun interactions with the two stars of the film.  Also, I must point out, Cavill and Shaq on-screen together will be the unofficial first meeting between the DCEU Superman and John Henry Irons.

Given how big of an event it is, the NBA All-Star Game seems like an excellent way to promote Batman v Superman.  Between it and Good Morning America, DC has a great chance to showcase the greatest gladiator match in the history of the world to a huge audience over today and tomorrow.  Batman v Superman hits theaters March 25, but let’s hope these TV specials continue to quench our thirst in the meantime.  Keep it locked to Caped Crusades for continuing coverage of the upcoming film and for all your Batman news!
