The Flash Season 2, Episode 14 Synopsis: Escape From Earth-2

You have to dig the title of The Flash Season 2, episode 14. “Escape from Earth-2” has kind of an Escape from New York feel to it, except instead of Snake Plissken, it’s Barry Allen and his friends that everyone will be rooting on this week.

The Flash is going to need all those good wishes too, considering that last time we saw him, he was the prisoner of Zoom. He’s not alone, considering Harry Wells’ Daughter Jesse and some guy in a metal mask are both in Zoom’s dungeon of doom, but neither one of them seems like they’re going to be much help.

Wells and Cisco Ramon are still out there, as is the Earth-2 Iris West. But will they be enough of a cavalry to somehow save the day? Let’s see if the official synopsis gives us any clues …

"On Earth-2, the team races to find Zoom’s lair and asks for help from the most unexpected source. Meanwhile, back on Earth-1, Caitlin (Danielle Panabaker) rushes to perfect Velocity-9 so that Jay (guest star Teddy Sears) can stop the Geomancer (guest star Adam Stafford)."

If you’ve seen any promo videos for this episode, you already know that the “most unexpected source” mentioned here is the Earth-2 Caitlin, otherwise known as Killer Frost. She’s likely to be aiding our heroes because she’s out for revenge for Zoom’s murder of Deathstorm rather than any wish to see the prisoners freed, but the enemy of my enemy, right?

Comic book readers have suspected that events were always leading to the development of Velocity-9, and Jay’s need to fill in for Barry is finally providing the catalyst to get it there. The question now is whether it will keep him from dying — and whether it might restore his speed for good, which would be a big boost to Team Flash, as two speedsters are definitely better than one.
