Marvel Avengers Academy Hits The Beach
By Nick Tylwalk
We told you something new was coming for Marvel Avengers Academy, and it finally arrived on Friday night. It’s also not quite what you’d expect, because while many mobile games are enjoying seasonal winter content at this time of year, Marvel Avengers Academy is hitting the beach.

Nick Fury probably isn’t too happy about it, but thanks to a bit of Asgardian magic from Loki, you can now build Avengers Beach on your campus. It comes with a palm tree, sand and a beach chair, plus new actions for Iron Man, Loki and Wasp. It’s also not by the ocean like most beaches, but that should really only be a minor inconvenience for Earth’s Mightiest Heroes.
Since you’d look pretty silly heading to the beach in full costume, Van Dyne’s Outfits has been supplied with new outfits for Iron Man (Iron Surfer), Loki (Beach Humbuggery Loki) and Wasp (Tropical Wasp). You’ll need them to perform some of the actions needed to complete the Avengers Beach quests.
And to unlock those outfits for some fun in the sun, you’ll need to collect Beach Balls from quests on the Mission Board. You’ll want to knock them out as quickly as possible, too, since Avengers Beach will only be available through Thursday, February 25 at 6 pm Eastern time. New decor items are also for sale, so grabbing some extra Beach Balls to buy them wouldn’t be a bad idea either if you want to spread the beach theme around even more.
Happily, the level 18 cap has also been raised, so turning in quests while you stockpile Beach Balls will also push your academy to new heights. We don’t know the new level cap yet, but will be sure to fill you in when we get there.

Topping it all off, there’s a new Avenger who’s been seen around campus. He’s still not listed among the characters you can acquire, meaning he probably won’t be joining the gang at school for some time, but there’s definitely been a sighting of a certain Avenging Archer.
Marvel Avengers Academy is TinyCo’s story-driven mobile game about teen versions of the Avengers attending a special school together as they attempt to protect the world from Hydra, A.I.M. and others while also unraveling a series of mysteries, not the least of which is why they’re all teenagers in the first place. It’s a free download for iOS and Android devices, so head to the App Store or Google Play and hot the books and the beach with them now.
