Is A Game Of Thrones Star Playing Iron Fist?
By Nick Tylwalk
I love any time I get to write a headline with a tantalizing rhetorical question embedded in it. The reason we don’t have an answer is that it’s only a rumor at this point, but That Hashtag Show thinks someone is about to go from HBO to Netflix to play the lead role in Iron Fist.

The man at the center of the speculation is Finn Jones, who has appeared in 17 episodes of Game of Thrones so far as Ser Loras Tyrell. He also has the Doctor Who spinoff The Sarah Jane Adventures on his resume, so he’s no stranger to genre fare.
Casting an English actor as the New York-born Danny Rand does raise a bit of an eyebrow, but we’ll assume Jones has a great American accent ready. And who knows? Spending one’s formative years in the mystical city of K’un L’un would certainly be a valid reason for Iron Fist not to sound like a native New Yorker.
No timetable has been announced yet for Iron Fist, though it will be the last of the four solo Marvel Netflix series that began with Daredevil and continued with Jessica Jones. If Jones is set as Rand, it would mean that all four main characters in the Defenders have been cast, as we’ve already seen Mike Colter as Luke Cage.
