Batman V Superman: Jimmy Kimmel Was Deleted In Final Cut

We can all agree that Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is a long movie.  Coming in at a whopping 2 hours and 31 minutes, it is one of the longest superhero movies ever made — with Watchmen (2009), another Zack Syder film, besting it with a running time of 2 hours 45 minutes.  Even with this long running time, there were still footage that didn’t make it to the final cut.  And some of these will be included in future home video version of the film.  For example, the R-rated Blu-ray Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice Ultimate Edition which came to light last week.

, Ben Affleck, who plays Bruce Wayne / Batman in the upcoming film, was the guest of honor.  After breaking the bad news to Jimmy that his scene was deleted, Ben comforted him by showing the clip to the audience.  Ben’s excuse for the cut?  Jimmy’s presence was so “good” that they had to cut it so as to not distract the audience from the rest of the film.  We’ll let you be the judge of that.

Pretty funny stuff.  Jimmy Kimmel Live! has been the go-to show for many superhero movies in terms of clips and trailer premieres, so it wasn’t unusual for him to dedicate a humorous segment marketing the highly anticipated blockbuster.  With less than a month to go, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice news will be on everybody’s radar!
