Ben Affleck Says Matt Damon Can’t Even Beat Him Up

Ben Affleck has some words for best bud Matt Damon

Batman v Superman is out in a mere five days. And while certainly, everyone is wondering if Batman can indeed beat Superman, it has others wondering if he can beat up heroes of other franchises. Awhile ago, Matt Damon, who is a close friend of Ben Affleck as they came up in the business together, was asked if his super spy character Jason Bourne could beat Batman.

"Jason Bourne would kick the s–t out of Batman—absolutely! Batman’s gotta take on Superman first. If he could beat him then maybe he could take on Jason Bourne."

Bold words, but not surprising, you have to have some faith in your own action hero. Of course, Ben Affleck was recently asked for a response for this statement, and actually went farther than that, saying Matt Damon doesn’t stand a chance against him, nor does Jason Bourne against Batman:

"Matt is going around saying this all over the place but not to my face. But Matt can’t even beat me up, never mind Batman. You know what I’m saying? He has a long way to go.They’re just finishing the Bourne movie now when we have our premiere over in London. I’ll see Matt and he can take me up on it."

Of course this is all just in good fun. But then again I can also see Ben Affleck and Matt Damon doing a skit where they actually argue about this, and beat the crap out of each other. Most likely on Jimmy Kimmel. As far as Batman v Bourne? Well, a movie would most likely never happen, but that seems ripe for a comic book idea. In a world where G.I. Joe teams with Transformers and  Batman joins forces with the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, surely somebody can bring Jason Bourne and Batman together for some kind of limited run. Batman v Superman opens March 25th and the latest Jason Bourne movie, simply titled “Jason Bourne”, is set to come out not long after on July 29th.
