Gotham: Episode 18 Synopsis

We get a look into Gotham’s future with a synopsis of episode 18, “Pinewood”!

Gotham is on a very short break and won’t be returning with a new episode until April 11th. But that doesn’t mean we can’t look even further ahead and speculate as to what might be store in the following week’s episode, which is episode 18 and is titled “Pinewood”, because a synopsis has been released!

Here is the synopsis for the April 18th episode of Gotham, “Pinewood”:

"After leaving Arkham Asylum, Barbara attempts to make amends with Gordon. Then, Bruce and Alfred track down one of Thomas Wayne’s former friends from Project Chimera, but Hugo Strange disrupts their plans."

So Barbara might awaken next episode, but it seems like she won’t actually leave Arkham Asylum until this later episode. Also, you can infer that if Barbara is trying to make amends with Gordon, that next episode will end with Gordon proving he was actually framed and be back on the force, because otherwise I don’t know how Barbara would even find him to try and make amends. Will Gordon even be willing to talk to Barbara at this point? A lot of that might depend on if he’s found Lee yet.

Also, if Bruce Wayne & Alfred are working together again, that obviously shows that Bruce Wayne’s life on the streets of Gotham will end on episode 17 as well. For obvious reasons, Bruce Wayne hasn’t had a ton of interaction with Gotham’s major villains so far with a few exceptions, so it’ll be interesting to see him and Alfread going up against Hugo Strange and where that leads. And of course the best way to find that out is by tuning into Fox on Mondays starting April 11th for all new episodes of Gotham that will take us right into the season two finale (as long as there aren’t any more breaks anyways).
