The original Thunderbolts are back this May with a new leader and a new mission.

As a longtime fan of the Thunderbolts, I was thrilled when I heard that the team would be making a comeback in the wake of Avengers Standoff and that it would include the original members of the team. I never warmed to the various versions that Marvel published in the wake of Civil War and it seems I’m not the only one. Now with a new leader in the Winder Soldier, I’m really excited to see what direction Marvel takes the book in.

With Thunderbolts #1 by Jim Zub and Jon Malin set to go on sale early next month, Marvel has released a preview of the first issue.
