All-New All-Different Avengers #9 kicks off a new story arc starring the all-new Wasp and we have a preview of what to expect.
When Marvel announced they were going to introduce a new version of the Wasp to the Marvel Universe, people got pretty excited. Janey van Dyne, the original Wasp, was a founding member of the Avengers after all and has been out of action since the events of Axis. Although never a huge fan favorite like Thor or Iron Man, she always had an ardent and vocal following.
So with the character set to co-headline the Ant-Man film sequel (Ant-Man and the Wasp) and have her profile go through the roof, having a new Wasp in the Marvel Universe can’t be considered a bad thing, especailly when her identity and motivations will remain a mystery for now.
The new Wasp will make her official debut on Free Comics Book Day and from there will head to All-New All-Different Avengers. There she will be a key part of the book’s next major storyline starting with issue #9 once the Avengers Standoff event has wrapped up.

All-New All-Different Avengers #9 is written by Mark Waid with art by Mahmud Asrar with a cover by Alex Ross and variant covers by Ross and Khoi Pham. It will arrive in comic shops on May 11, 2016.
