Suicide Squad: Batman vs. Deadshot?

Will Smith hints at a Deadshot/Dark Knight throwdown in Suicide Squad

Batman is definitely in Suicide Squad, how much is anybody’s guess. We know that he’s definitely involved in some scenes with the Joker & Harley Quinn, we have seen those in the trailers (and leaked set pics), but what about the rest of Task Force X? Considering that it is largely comprised of characters from Batman has fought on multiple occasions (and a couple regulars from his rogues gallery), it wouldn’t be surprised to see him throw down with the likes of say Killer Croc or Deadshot if not the entire squad.

Speaking of the latter, Suicide Squad star Will Smith hints at a meeting between his character and Batman, and it doesn’t seem like a friendly one:

"The Bat does cross my path… and, ya know, it’s not completely pleasant"

Who wins that fight? Well I know Will Smith is easily the biggest star in Suicide Squad, but odds are Deadshot isn’t getting a victory over Batman, not this early in the run of the DC universe. Does this mean the won’t be teaming up a Batman standalone film? Well, anything’s possible, but considering Geoff Johns and Ben Affleck haven’t finished the script just yet, it seems unlikely.

Next: David Ayer All For R-rated Suicide Squad 2

This definitely lends credence to the rumor that was put out awhile ago that Batman is the one responsible for all the Suicide Squad members being in prison besides of course Rick Flagg and Katana, who are in the employ of Amanda Waller. Will Batman fight the entire Suicide Squad? Will he actually get in the way of them completing their super secret, super deadly mission? I for one definitely want to at least also see Batman vs. Killer Croc on the big screen, even if it’s only for a few minutes. Suicide Squad opens in theaters August 5th.
