Gotham: Azrael Preview

Azrael is unleashed on Gotham in next Monday’s episode!

The dead have officially risen in Gotham! Patient 44, aka Theo Galavan came back to life on this week’s episode thanks to the maniacal efforts of one Dr. Hugo Strange. But Theo Galavan came back a changed man. He’s not really the Theo Galavan he was before. He is now Azrael!

And “Azrael” is also the title of the next episode of Gotham, where delving further into the mystery of the Wayne murders has Gordon and Strange in each other’s crosshairs! Here’s a synopsis of “Azrael”:

"Gordon and Bruce question Professor Strange about Project Chimera, which leads Strange to send the newly resurrected Galavan to confront Gordon. Meanwhile, Nygma investigates who Professor Strange is."

We also have a nice lengthy “movie trailer” for “Azrael”, which in addition to giving us a nice recap of what’s happened in relation to the Wayne murders so far, gives us quite a bit of footage of what to expect in the next episode, check out the trailer below:

Next: Heroes Will Unite On Gotham

So this trailer says May 2nd, but of course there is a new episode next Monday, April 26th. It’s hard to believe Fox would make a mistake like this with an official trailer, so it is likely that it contains some footage from the following week’s episode as well. Of course Pinewood started out as a noble endeavor before it became twisted, like most things start. Most likely, Azrael is sticking around for several episodes, and that is before others come back from the dead to terrify Gotham in horrifying new ways! Either way, are Gordon and company prepared for a faster, stronger and even more vicious Theo Galavan under the control of one Hugo Strange?
