Batman v Superman: Ben Affleck Accessorized Like Bruce Wayne
In Batman v Superman, Ben Affleck wore a watch more expensive than many cars
Batman v Superman is a really expensive movie. Possibly the most expensive superhero movie ever made. And you can easily see that in the film. Lots of special and practical effects that look great (except Doomsday, man he looked awful). But it wasn’t just the big effects you see on screen. It was the little details as well.
Batman v Superman features one of the richest characters in comic book history, Bruce Wayne. And Bruce Wayne is not one to shy away from showing off his fortune. He drives fancy cars, wears expensive suits. And only sports the world’s finest and most expensive watches.
And although it might not be something most people would notice, in Batman v Superman, Ben Affleck as Bruce Wayne is sporting a watch only someone like Bruce Wayne could afford.
In this scene in the Batcave in the featured pic from Batman v Superman, Bruce Wayne is wearing a Breguet Tradition Tourbillon, specifically a Ref. 7047PT Tradition Fusee Tourbillon with a platinum-crafted case. How much does this watch go for? A whopping $187,900. You can get a nice close-up look at the watch here:
One thing you can’t fault Batman v Superman for is lack of authenticity. Even if the watch was just lent to the movie, that seems excessive even for someone like Bruce Wayne. I mean, would anyone have noticed if he was wearing a watch that was “only” worth $50,000?
Then again, I guess he has to be wearing something of a much higher class than his butler. Lest you think Bruce Wayne makes his most trusted friend/mentor/father figure live like a pauper, Jeremy Irons is sporting a $10,000 watch in this scene:

And if you are wondering about Clark Kent/Superman? Well, he doesn’t wear a watch in Batman v Superman. He works as a reporter for a seemingly dying newspaper (why else would he suddenly need to cover high school sports?), he’s probably lucky if he can afford a Fisher Price watch. Batman v Superman is in theaters now.
