The Death of Bruce Wayne’s parents from Batman Begins recreated in the style of Batman v Superman

It’s a a tale as old as time. No wait, that’s Beauty & The Beast. Still, it feels like we’ve seen the tragic murder of prominent citizens of Gotham, Thomas and Martha Wayne, time and time and time again. And yes, it made an appearance again in Batman v Superman. But here’s the thing, it was REALLY good, shockingly so. Not really shocking because it’s Zack Snyder (who I admittedly do not have a high opinion of). But because as someone who has watched everything from Tim Burton’s Batman to the various animated series and movies including up to Gotham and Batman v Superman, I’ve probably seen he Waynes die over a dozen times. I should be bored of this scene entirely, nothing about it should possibly impress me. But the murder of Bruce Wayne’s parents in Batman v Superman was easily one of the best sequences in the movie and might be the best it has ever been done.

And that’s a combination of things. Editing, direction, and especially the haunting score. So take all that and apply it to the Wayne murders in Batman Begins. The Wayne murder sequence in that film is fine, but I barely remember it. YouTube user “avindustries13” has edited those scenes in Batman Begins to match the similar sequence of events from Batman v Superman, and it’s a fairly stunning result:

So, I’m still all in favor of not letting Zack Snyder direct any more movies (period), but how about sequences? Because obviously the dude knows how to do an epic death scene. Like, if you are going to show the murder of Barry Allen’s Mother in the upcoming Flash movie, look at the work Zack Snyder did in this sequence and tell me he wouldn’t do a great job for that one scene? Just don’t let him anywhere near the rest of that movie, Flash is not a dour character in the least.
