Superman

We saw him from a distance, his Fortress of Solitude and his profile in shadow. Now it’s time to give viewers the entire package.

Since the first episode of Supergirl Superman has been the huge elephant in the room no one wants to talk about. They don’t even mention him by name most of the time and never talk about what he’s doing in Metropolis. For a Season 2 that needs to change.

Cast an actor, have him put on the tights and get it over with already because the longer you wait to introduce Superman to the show the harder it’s going to be. Fans already want him on Supergirl and when the producers finally decide it’s time, the hype machine will go into overdrive as will the expectations. He does’t need to show up every week or even every season and he shouldn’t, but we need to know he is there in more than an abstract sense.

Fans want to see Superman and they want to see him team-up with Kara to face a foe that only both of them can defeat. Imagine the last surviving members of the House of El up against General Zod or Doomsday or maybe even the Cyborg.

Superman appearing on Supergirl is going to happen at some point, there is no question. The sooner it happens the better and hopefully, that will be during Supergirl Season 2.
