Preview: Ultimates #8 From Marvel Comics

Thanks to Marvel Comics we have a preview of Ultimates #8, a Civil War II tie-in featuring Thanos.

Since its first issue, the Ultimates has been one of the most interesting, fully developed series to launch out All-new All-different Marvel. It truly is an Avengers title unlike any that has come before or is even currently being published. The writing by Al Ewing has been some of the best in Marvel’s entire line and the art by Kenneth Rocafort has fully embraced the whole idea of this title being about the “cosmic” aspect of the Avengers.

With the team having dealt with the universal threat that was Galactus, has that prepared them for the coming of Civil War II and the arrival of the Mad Titan Thanos?

That is the question that will be answered beginning with Ultimates #8 by Ewing and Rocafort. A Civil War II tie-in, the title sees the Thanos arrive on Earth and the Ultimates trying to find a way to deal with him.

With Captain Marvel playing such a prominent role in the events of Civil War II, you knew that the Ultimates, a group she is a member of, were going to play a big part in what was going on. It would seem that it all begins in the pages of Ultimates #8.

Ultimates #8 will feature a cover by Rocafort and a Civil War Reenactment variant cover by Mike McKone.
