Gotham: Indian Hill Is A Pandora’s Box
What happens in tonight’s season finale will change the city of Gotham as we know it
Tonight is the season finale of Gotham, and of course big changes are in store, but possibly none more so than for the actual city of Gotham itself. Gotham EP John Stephens talked about what will happen in tonight’s episode (in broad terms, no spoilers here) that will have further repercussions in season 3!
"The Pandora’s Box gets opened at the end of the episode in a way that is going to have a huge effect in the entire city. The city we return to in Season 3 will be very different than the city we leave at the end of Season 2."
Stephens also talked about the fact that the Court Of Owls, introduced a couple episodes ago, is like the illuminati, a shadowy group of people that have controlled Gotham for centuries, and may ultimately be the ones responsible for the Wayne Murders. While Bruce will learn of their existence, he won’t learn much else. Learning about the Court of Owls will be one of the things that drive Bruce Wayne in season 3.
Speaking of Bruce Wayne, Stephens mentioned that while Bruce had a long way to go physically and emotionally to actually becoming Batman, we will see another big piece of the puzzle of why he becomes Batman in season 3. Bruce has had a several I like to refer to as “Batman moments” in season two, so I certainly look forward to more for next season.

Court Of Owls, The Order Of St. Dumas, Butch, Penguin & Fish Mooney. This could lead to an all out war over who really controls Gotham in season 3. But then again, maybe there will just be too many supervillains running amuck for anyone to really have control. Be sure to tune in to Gotham’s season two finale, “Transference” tonight on Fox!
