Gotham: What Villains Are In Store For Season 3?

What new villains will terrorize Gotham in season 3?

The second season of Gotham comes to an end tonight with the episode titled “Transference”, but of course it’s never too early to start thinking ahead to the future. Gotham is already a show packed with villains. You have Penguin, Riddler, Hugo Strange, Mr. Freeze, Clayface as well as some originals that have shown up such as Jerome and Fish Mooney. But there are of course a large well of great villains that have yet to make an appearance, and some of those will probably show up in season 3. In fact, Gotham executive producer John Stephens teased a few of the villains we will be seeing next season while talking with Comic Book Resources:

"We’ll be seeing Mad Hatter in Season 3. We’ll be seeing the Tweedle Brothers, too, if we’re going to bring the Hatter in. In line with the Court of Owls, we’ll be seeing Talon. And, we should be seeing Solomon Grundy."

Next: Gotham: The Tables Have Turned On Strange!

The Mad Hatter bit leaves me a little disappointed, as he had been teased for season two, and of course there was that scene where Hugo Strange was reading from Alice In Wonderland that hinted the Hatter might be forthcoming before the season was done.

Readers might be less familiar with character such as the Tweedle Brothers. They are just hired muscle with an Alice in Wonderland theme named Tweedledee & Tweedledum. They have worked for both the Mad Hatter and Joker, but have also run their own gang. Talon is a very new character, being the personal assassin of The Court Of Owls. This suggest the court of Owls will continue to be a problem in season 3 as well. Will any of these character be hinted at in tonight’s finale? Tune into Gotham on Fox to find out!
