X-O Manowar #50 finishes Robert Venditti’s run on Valiant’s flagship hero by uniting over fifty artists for an unprecedented jam cover!

Wednesday, Valiant leaked four exclusive pieces of art to Bam Smack Pow as preparation for the first cover of its kind, a mash-up pulling together over fifty artists to cap fifty-six issues of the character that relaunched Valiant Entertainment for the modern era. Each of the pieces was a different picture of X-O Manowar, a Visigoth king kidnapped by The Vine into space and bonded to a sentient suit of armor.

Under series writer Robert Venditti, Aric of Dacia has gone up against the heaviest hitters in the Valiant line, including The Eternal Warrior, Ninjak, the Armor Hunters, and Imperium‘s Toyo Harada. X-O Manowar has conquered land in Romania and lived peacefully with his new wife in the American Midwest. He has destroyed The Vine’s empire in Planet Death and shepherded Vine refugees to a tense cohabitation in Nebraska in Exodus. His armor has been worn by teammate Livewire and, in a peek into the future, by his daughter after his death. The X-O Manowar #50 cover is a stirring tribute to the iconic look and creative possibility of Valiant’s premiere hero.
