Batman v Superman Ultimate Edition Trailer

The Ultimate Edition Of Batman v Superman Releases on home video this July!

We’ve been promised that the ultimate edition of Batman v Superman, the director’s cut that garnered an “R” rating (even though most director’s cuts on home video don’t get submitted for ratings, so it’s really just a marketing ploy) will be a much more cohesive effort, adding thirty minutes of footage to an already two and a half hour movie (though I still hope that they plan to release that 4 hour original cut sometime, because I want to see everything). More dialogue, Jena Malone who might be Batgirl, extended versions of scenes in the film and much more are promised in this “ultimate edition”. So when is the ultimate edition of Batman v Superman coming out? Thanks to a new trailer that just dropped (and actually does have a significant amount of new footage and dialogue), we actually have a confirmed date. Check it out below:

Wow, a movie that might actually explain Batman & Superman’s motivations better? I mean seriously, the Ultimate Cut of Batman v Superman almost looks like an entirely different film from what was in the theaters. Will this sort of be like Ben Affleck’s last crack at a superhero film, Daredevil, where the little seen director’s cut with added footage vastly improved the movie (I don’t want to oversell that though, the director’s cut of Daredevil turned a film that was virtually unwatchable into something merely bad). Also we now officially have a release date for the Ultimate Edition of Batman v Superman-June 28th on digital formats and July 19th on Blu-Ray and DVD. Will you be wanting to check out the Ultimate Edition of Batman v Superman to see if it actually improves the film? We sure will and report back our thoughts!
