Injustice 2 Is Definitely A Thing That Exists

Injustice 2’s existence confirmed via a poster

We’ve been hearing pretty consistent rumors of a follow-up to the 2013 DC fighting game from Netherealm Studios, Injustice: Gods Among Us for awhile now. And it seems the cat is unofficially out of the bag mere days before it’s probable unveiling at next week’s E3.

A poster for Injustice 2 has surfaced, and as you can see in the featured image, it features Batman fighting The Flash. So hey, there are two characters who are most likely in it!

Unfortunately that is really all the concrete information we have on Injustice 2 right now. It is heavily rumored for a 2017 release, probably sometime in March. We have no idea what platforms it will be on either. One can hope that this is at least going to be some multi-platform AAA title with versions for PS4 & Xbox (and maybe even NX down the line). PC seems like less of a possibility at this point given that Warner Bros. Interactive PC versions of late usually launch incredibly broken. We will hopefully  hear more about Injustice 2 at next week’s E3 expo, possibly during Microsoft’s or Sony’s big press conference (maybe as a console exclusive at least temporarily?) since Warner Bros. does not have one their own.

Next: Telltale's Batman Game At E3

I’ve mentioned this previously, but I really enjoyed the original Injustice: Gods Among Us (still actually have it installed on my PS4 in fact, but haven’t played it in awhile), so I am very much looking forward to Injustice 2. I really hope that it has an equally well told story (rare for a fighting game) and just goes nuts with the roster additions, Make it like Marvel vs. Capcom 2, which had over 50 playable characters. Go deep into DC’s B, C and D list if you have to. Hopefully we will hear more about Injustice 2 soon.
