The First Trailer For Injustice 2 Is Here!

Well we knew it was happening. There had been strong rumors for quite awhile now, then that leaked poster confirming the existence of Injustice 2. Then, whether it was planned to be dropped today or Warner Bros. just decided to exploit the hype train before E3, an official trailer for Injustice 2 dropped today. It features mostly old faces from the first game, but one very cool new one, check out the announcement trailer for Injustice 2 below:

We’ll probably learn more about Injustice 2 at E3, but aside from the introduction of Supergirl (and it’s been confirmed that Flash villain Gorilla Grodd and Green Lantern villain Atrocitus are in the game), notice that pretty much everybody has some version of power armor for their character. This is probably an extension of the first Injustice game, which explained things like Harley Quinn being able to go toe-to-toe with Superman by everyone taking drugs that gave them super powers.

Obviously, this trailer doesn’t show any gameplay, but I wouldn’t expect a drastic change from Injustice: Gods Among Us to Injustice 2 in that aspect nor much of a graphical upgrade. But that’s more than fine. that’s not what Injustice 2 needs to really succeed. Injustice 2 just needs to be lots more of the same. More crazy stages with breakable levels, more characters and an even better story than the surprisingly solid first game. I said it before, I want the roster to go nuts and be huge and pull from the depths of DC comics. Put Matter Eater Lad and Arm Fall-Off Boy in there if you can. Will Injustice 2 be able to pull off this crazy level of fan service? I certainly think the potential is there. We’ll find out when Injustice 2 releases for PS4 & Xbox One sometime in 2017.
