Injustice 2 gameplay will be shown off during Mortal Kombat X Esport Finals

Injustice 2 is coming our way next year to PS4 and Xbox One, and comic book fans should be pretty excited about that. But though a trailer has dropped, it is just a CG trailer that aside from revealing a few characters that are certainly in the game like Batman, Flash, Superman and new addition Supergirl, and hinting that everybody gets super armor, doesn’t hint at much else or show us any actual gameplay from Injustice 2.

With E3 starting next week, everybody thought that is when we might see more of Injustice 2, but in fact we won’t have to wait that long. Injustice 2 will have its first gameplay reveal at this weekend’s Mortal Kombat X Esports final, which starts at 5pm Pacific Time this Saturday, June 11th, which you can watch on Twitch.

While more of Injustice 2 might be shown at E3, it’s good to know we’ll be getting a taste of it even before that massive event. What will we even be shown is the question, though. Will it just be a quick match? Will any new characters be revealed or will it be ones we’ve already seen in the trailer or have been confirmed through other news? And possibly most pressing, Injustice 2 looks to introduce a lot of mechanics not usually seen in fighting games like gear, a very high level of customization, leveling and loot drops, will we be given an example of how those things work? I am hopeful we will get some idea when we get the first real taste of Injustice 2 gameplay this Saturday during the Mortal Kombat X Esports finals. Injustice 2 is due to release on the PS4 and Xbox One sometime in 2017.
