We finally get to see the Telltale Batman game in action this Sunday

E3 doesn’t even officially start until Monday, but leaks and announcements and trailers have already been happening pretty much all this week, so it’s no surprise that the weekend before E3, some companies are jumping the gun and showing their games a little early. You’ll get to see the first gameplay footage of Injustice 2 later today, and tomorrow, in addition to Pre-E3 conferences by Bethesda and Electronic Arts, some companies will be showing off their latest titles.

This includes Telltale Games, which in addition to their latest season of their Walking Dead series, will finally be showing off some of their Batman game (which is just titled “Batman”. You know, the one that was announced last year, to be out this Summer (and while not officially Summer yet, it is pretty much Summer) and we’ve heard frustratingly little about. But apparently we will finally see it in action sometime tomorrow:

Next: Lego Dimensions Adding More Lego Batman

As someone who has to report on this stuff, it’s mildly infuriating that there’s no indication of what time tomorrow morning we will see a demonstration of the Batman game, just “morning”, so I’d guess anywhere between 8 and 11:30 am Pacific time. And again it’s amazing just how much this game has been kept under wraps.

We know it is running on a brand new game engine. And thank god because Telltale’s game engine always seemed ready to collapse even under the weight of the first Walking Dead game (and any actual gameplay bits were terrible). We don’t even know if this new Batman game is episodic like most Telltale titles, or just a one off. So we will finally get some answers tomorrow. I think it would be great if this was one of those cool E3 surprises where the game is available either immediately after it’s shown or at least not long after E3 is done. I’d give that like a 50/50 odds of happening. Again, the Batman Telltale game will be demoed sometime tomorrow morning, we will of course be right on top of that and bring you video and thoughts ASAP.
