Batman v Superman: The 8-Bit Version
Batman v Superman as an 8-bit game!
Batman v Superman has come and gone in theaters, and whatever you think of the movie, could it work as a video game? Specifically as an 8-bit video game? The Youtube channel BitCine certainly thinks so. They have given Batman v Superman an 8-bit makeover, like many movies have received in the past.
Of course, it’s pretty hard to turn a 2 and a half hour film into a video game that still resembles said film, so what BitCine has down here is really drilled Batman v Superman down to its essence, cutting a ton of that fat and kind of proving that Batman v Superman could’ve been a much shorter movie and still gotten the same point across (though that would not have fixed other numerous problems with the films). There’s no courthouse, no subplot with Lois Lane that doesn’t really go anywhere, no high school football story Clark Kent keeps being told to write instead of doing you know, investigative journalism. You don’t even see Lex Luthor. What you do see is things like Batman fighting Superman, Batman taking on thugs in a warehouse, and the trinity of Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman taking on Doomsday. In fact, if you haven’t seen Batman v Superman yet, this is a pretty good way to get the Cliff Notes in about 4 minutes. Check it out below:

Could you make a good videogame, 8-bit or otherwise, out of Batman v Superman? Quite possibly but like many games based on movies you’d probably have to put in a lot of extra stuff that has nothing to do with the film. Like Batman, you must go up against Superman, but first stop Penguin from robbing this bank! Batman v Superman might still be in some theaters, but the Ultimate Edition is due out June 28th on Digital Download and July 19th on Blu-Ray and DVD
