Check out the first ten minutes of the Ultimate Cut of Batman v Superman!

The Ultimate Cut of Batman v Superman came out on Digital Download today, and with it, Warner Bros has decided to post the first 10 minutes of the film online for all to see.

Honestly, if you saw Batman v Superman in the theaters, these first ten minutes are not going to be drastically different for you. There’s a couple extra shots here and there, but the meat of that extra 30 minutes is later on in the film, so this really might be more of a benefit to people who haven’t seen the film yet. I’d also say it contains a couple of the few good scenes in the film. Though Thomas and Martha Wayne being murdered in Crime Alley time and time (and time) again, Zack Snyder may have pulled off the best version to date, as it is a beautifully scored and haunting scene. I also think the scene that connects Batman v Superman to Man of Steel, with Bruce Wayne trying to get to his office building in Metropolis to help his hapless employees while Superman is fighting Zod is well shot (though why they waited for his go-ahead to evacuate is never well-explained). Check it out below:

The Ultimate Cut Of Batman v Superman features thirty minutes of additional footage that expands on much of the film, and even includes characters that were cut from the theatrical release such as Jena Malone’s character, and also apparently adds enough violence added to be upped to an “R” rating from a “PG-13”, which the theatrical cut was. Is it enough to fix many of the problems many had with Batman v Superman’s pacing and editing? It just might be . The Ultimate Edition of Batman v Superman is out on Digital Download now, and will be available on Blu-Ray and DVD July 19th.
