Justice League #1 Preview

Check out a preview of this month’s Justice League #1!

Post-Rebirth, we have a new Justice League. It’s a little bit like the old Justice League, it has a Batman, a Wonder Woman, a Flash and a Aquaman. It also has a Superman, but a new Superman. That’s actually old Superman, but not the Superman this Justice League knew and trusted as a teammate. Now there’s also not one Green Lantern on the League, but two, and two that the League actually has a rather troublesome past with. But who has time for that when there is wrongs to be righted and villains to be toppled and justice to be meted out? In the first issue they meet an ancient enemy even the combined might of the Justice League might not be able to defeat! Next: Preview Of All-Star Batman #1

While the preview may be Wonder Woman centric (and hell maybe the issue is as well), I’m sure the whole Justice League will be actively involved in trying to prevent this latest crisis. But you know what the preview reminds me of? The “Hawk & Dove” episode of Justice League Unlimited, where it was actually everyone laying down their weapons and not fighting that stopped a virtually unstoppable enemy. Wouldn’t it be cool if this issue was a callback to that? Justice League #1 will be available July 20th.
