Via Flicks and the City, we have a clip of Mark Hamill speaking at the Star Wars Celebration Panel. Though the focus was on Star Wars, it was hard for people to ignore the fact that they were in the presence of the actor who has created the most beloved version of the Joker outside of live-action media.
Talking about Batman: The Killing Joke, he first warned audiences that the animated film is something not suitable for children, and later went on to describe it as something Alan Moore—the writer of Batman: The Killing Joke—would probably hate, due to the author being a perfectionist. At the end, he left the audience elated with the reading of one of the film’s monologues as the Clown Prince of Crime. Hamill’s performance starts at the 1-minute 32-second mark:

Batman: The Killing Joke is set to have its world premiere at Comic Con 2016. Fathom Events will have a special one-night screening of the film on July 25, 2016. It will later be released digitally on July 26, 2016. A Deluxe Edition and Combo Pack Blu-ray of the film will be released on August 2, 2016. The film is directed by Sam Liu and Bruce Timm, written by Brian Azzarello based on Batman: The Killing Joke by Alan Moore and Brian Bolland, and stars Kevin Conroy as Bruce Wayne / Batman, Mark Hamill as The Joker, Tara Strong as Barbara Gordon / Batgirl, Ray Wise as Commissioner James Gordon, with John Di Maggio, Robin Atkin Downes, Brian George, J.P. Karliak, Andrew Kishino, Nolan North, Maury Sterling, Fred Tatasciore, Bruce Timm, Anna Vocino, Kari Wahlgren, and Rick D. Wasserman in unspecified roles.
