Batman v Superman Fights Featurettes
These featurettes take you behind the scenes of the preparation involved for fight scenes in Batman v Superman
You know, for a superhero movie, titled, Batman v Superman, there actually wasn’t a ton of action in Batman v Superman. I mean really, there’s just the nightmare sequence where Batman is in an apocalyptic desert, the actual fight between Batman v Superman, which lasts all of about eight minutes, and the cool but brief scene of Batman taking down thugs in a warehouse before the climatic battle with Doomsday. That’s only like 30 minutes of this two and half (three if you watch the Ultimate Cut) movie. What the hell where they doing for the rest? Oh right courtroom scenes and trying to make Lex Luthor’s insanely complicated plan with no real goal make sense.
But that doesn’t mean Ben Affleck and Henry Cavill got to slack off. You saw the movie, they trained and were ready for an action-packed extravaganza, whether that’s what Batman v Superman was or was not. In these behind the scenes featurettes from Batman v Superman: Ultimate Edition, which came out on Blu-Ray and DVD today, they talk about not only the training involved for the actors and stuntmen in the film, but how they wanted to incorporate Batman’s style into the film and all the work and preparation that went into the actual “v” of Batman v Superman.
